Time-Blocking is one of the most effective time-management techniques used by peak performers such as Elon Musk, Cal Newport, and Nir Eyal. It is the practice of dividing your day into different blocks of time — and each time block is dedicated to one highly specific task or activity.

By planning your day with the time-blocking technique, you create a crystal-clear action plan for the day. In my experience, it will make you exponentially more productive, and it could save you 10–20 hours per week.

As Cal Newport said, “Sometimes people ask why I bother with such a detailed level of planning. My answer is simple: it generates a massive amount of productivity. A 40 hour time-blocked work week, I estimate, produces the same amount of output as a 60+ hour work week pursued without structure.”
