Procrastination. Mental resistance. Taking the path of least resistance. We’ve all been there. It’s a human thing to experience — and it’s been hunting us for centuries. The ancient Greeks even had a word for it, ‘akrasia.’

Even though procrastination and mental resistance are normal things to experience, it should not become an excuse to just drop your work and watch YouTube videos for hours per day. That’s a sure way to mediocre results.

You see, the difference between peak performers and mediocre performers isn’t that they don’t experience any mental resistance at all; it’s that they know how to handle it.

Even though peak performers want to take the path of least resistance just like most of us, they’ve trained themselves to use the right tools & techniques to get the job done no matter what. This is when we label people as ‘highly disciplined.’
