You know, I have no legitimacy to talk about diet or weight loss. I’m not a doctor or a nutritionist. I only have my own experience.

But what an experience!

I lost 18 lbs in 6 months, and my weight has been stable for almost a year. I had been trying to lose weight for 10 years. 10 years of eating disorders (mild, thank God). 10 years of counting calories, 10 years of hating myself if I overate, 10 years of feeling guilty when I indulged in dessert.

I wasn’t making the right changes in my life. I deprived myself, all for nothing. I kept gaining weight.

Things changed when I changed my mindset.

And when I stopped limiting food to designated times. Let me explain.

Do you eat breakfast because you’re afraid of starving later?

I am currently in Greece. I am volunteering in a hotel for 3 weeks. In exchange, I am given a room and three meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I rarely get hungry at breakfast. When I’m home, I have a cup of coffee, and sometimes a snack around 10:30, but that’s it. Here, I’ve seen an old habit revived.
