How I Overhauled My Health Habits and Started Feeling Great
I set out to improve productivity, focus, and well-being and found these tactics used together made a big impact
For the first 26 years of my life, I never took my health and nutrition seriously. Whenever my body felt iffy, I would self-diagnose by reading Healthline articles because I thought the words ‘research says’ signals reliable information. I also relied too much on doctors’ advice, taking more capsules than my frail body could take.
The past year revealed my weak physical state. Despite the time I save by working from home (Manila traffic is known to cause every kind of stress there is), I wasn’t more productive. There were days I would feel so sick that I couldn’t work properly. My energy would spike and drop throughout the day. I would get a cold every morning and cough for three weeks straight. My body was like a black box and I had no idea how to engineer a better machine out of it.
Last January, I decided to put an end to all the guesswork.
I began by doing research on how I can improve well-being by incorporating science-based habits into my daily routine. I went down a few rabbit holes, discerned carefully, and wrote down the ones that appeared sound yet simple to do.
