How I Use Audio For Focus
With this checklist and neuromodulation music, you can increase your concentration
I was on a call in a writer’s group the other week and we started discussing our writing process; how long we work at a stretch, how we prepare, and what sort of “atmosphere” each of us preferred to work in.
Everyone agreed that distractions (more than interruptions) were the biggest challenge to our concentration. The conversation centered on what we each listened to while we worked. Some sought silence, while others had soundtracks to help get them into their writing flow (or at least to block out distractions). For me, I’ve always responded well to ambient and neuromodulation music, which not only reduces sound distractions but also helps increase my focus.
I did some research about this which I want to share. This is what I learned and how you may increase your focus and productivity as well.
What is Concentration and Why is It Important?
Concentration is how we get things done. In order to plan and accomplish tasks, we need to take time to focus on and do the thing. We need varying amounts of concentration, depending on how difficult or complex the task is. Some things take very little concentration, such as eating. Some take a…
