This isn’t your traditional WWDC wish list about shiny new features but rather a list of improvements I’d like to see in the next iOS, macOS or watchOS. The following ideas range from polishing user interactions to adding small features that’d improve the day-to-day user experience. I gathered them throughout my years of experience using Apple devices.

Recurring themes throughout this list

  • Never interrupt or block the user from performing an action
  • Increase consistency at the operating system level
  • Don’t forget any settings, configurations, or context already provided by the user
  • Simplify user interactions with an intuitive UI
  • Provide good defaults, and ensure privacy first

I keep this list updated, and I hope to cross out as many items as possible after each WWDC. The ideas are grouped by devices and applications in no particular order. Some are more important and some are personal opinions.
