There are people in this world that will decide to lie when they find themselves in an uncomfortable situation. Often times they may lie to spare someone’s feelings because they’re afraid of how the other person may react to the truth. Although mentally this reasoning sounds pleasant and less hurtful doesn’t make it the right thing to do. The saying “Honesty is the best policy” is 100% correct because you’ll save yourself a whole lot of trouble down the line. Now I’m not saying that there are people who don’t lie because that would be a lie in itself. But avoiding a lie altogether will bring a lot more peace in your life.
The Fearless Heart
Regardless of any situation, the person with the fearless heart will tell you the honest truth about anything. The reasoning behind this is because they feel as though that other person deserves nothing but purity. They don’t deserve to get the sugarcoated truth about things because they wouldn’t want the same reciprocated. Being able to express the honest truth to someone makes you and the other person feel good. You’ll feel good inside because you will look back on your given situation and observe how much courage you had to tell that person the honest truth. On the other hand, the person you told the truth to will feel good because he/she will be able to trust you to the fullest because they know that you’ll tell them the truth regardless of any situation.
The Consequences Of Lying
When you lie you’re only making your situation worse on your end. Eventually, the truth will come out and the amount of trust that person once had for you eventually diminishes. If you think about it there’s no way around the truth, everything in the dark will soon come to the light. If you choose to lie you will only create problems amongst yourself that you will have to deal with sooner or later.
Believing Your Own Lies
Have you ever came across a person that lies so much that they start to believe their own lies. They’ll literally create a story in their minds and explain every detail of it and force themselves to believe this story from beginning to end. The story would be so good that even YOU will believe it. These specific people lie so much that they’re literally addicted to it. When it starts to become an addiction that’s when it becomes a sickness and very toxic. This will cause people to not want to be around you any longer and people will be able to detect your lies firsthand.
Lies Motivated By Pride
The #1 thing that motivates people to lie in my opinion is something they’re prideful about. In some cases people will lie in a situation to make themselves look a certain way to their audience. If they tell this person a specific story a certain way it’ll portray their image in a more positive light. They don’t want people to judge them in a negative way so they’ll lie in order to make themselves feel good.
You’re Forced To Live In A Different Reality
When you lie about something you’re forced to live out that lie until you eventually get caught. You’ll have to remind yourself each and every day that what you presented to this person is real. Why would you want to do this to yourself? Keeping up with one world is already difficult enough. Tell the truth always to prevent this in totality.
