So one of my absolute favorite artists posted something on Facebook that I feel belongs here. Prompted by the election and the current vibe of things, it’s something that the whole world [the United States especially] needs to read, understand, and practice. While I’m certainly in no position to get enough eyeballs on it, I figured that BETTERISM is at least the right place to start. In disappointing times, it’s important to remain positive and try to find the silver lining. Remember that you can control your perspective on the world and anything you say or do has repercussions. Making things better starts with you. Spread the love.

[ENTER Adrienne Haberl]:

Hey.

If you voted for Hillary, I still love and respect you.

If you voted for Trump, I still love and respect you.

If you voted for an independent candidate, I still love and respect you.

If you wrote a different name on the ballot, I still love and respect you.

If you didn’t vote, I still love and respect you.

And try not to be fearful. No politician, or any other person for that matter,
can truly govern who you are and the way you live your life. Don’t waste
that big beautiful brain of yours by being worrisome, or fearful, or any
different than you were yesterday. Refuse to serve any system of hatred or
negativity. Your own strength and power resonates in you and no president
will change that. When you start giving up to these thoughts and
aggressions and feel that some form of evil is getting the best of you,
you’re losing the fight. You need to know now how powerful you are!
Now is a perfect time to stand up for your rights and beliefs stronger and
more boldly than you ever had before. Feel empowered, because you
should. You are the one making history…
Keep living. Keep loving.
