In the series Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, episode 65 stands out from the rest as it presents one of the best fights in the series. This fight is fast and packed with action, most instances where the fundamentals of animation can be found are subtle but still crucial for the movements of the characters.

Squash and Stretch

In this fight squash and and stretch is used to show fast movement of characters. In many instances the whole bodies or parts of the body will be distorted in mid-movement to exaggerate the movements of the character.

Exaggeration

Along with exaggerated movements, characters will often be shown with exaggerated faces and exaggerated poses in order to show intensity in emotion and intense action.

Arcs

In this scene, the villain manifests a staff to fight Naruto and Sasuke. Arcs are used to show the movement of the staff as he parries with them.

Anticipation

Anticipation is used in this scene when the villain notices the ground beneath him crack and then jumps away in time to avoid being hit from the giant shuriken that comes from the ground.
