First off I would just like to give a spoiler alert to those who haven’t seen the movie, The Adventures of Tintin. It was difficult finding a video which had the scenes that I wanted to mention in this post. However, this video had the ones I wanted to present.

Timecode — 0:19

I was absolutely thrilled when I first saw this scene at the movies. The was a very creative way to link the 3D movie with the 2D comic books of Tintin. I think in a way it was essential for the viewers to see the side by side profile for them to truly love and accept Tintin in this movie. The animation is simply breathtaking and realistic.

Timecode — 2:28

Initially it is hard to see what Tintin is looking at due to the dim background. However, we follow the sounds of the metallic capsule rolling as Tintin pushes it towards the light. Along with a realistic look the movie was filled sounds that ensured our attention were drawn to each scene.

Timecode: 18:26

The attention to details was something that I had really enjoyed in these scenes. In the first timecode there had been so much detail gone toward character movement. Everything happened in such a flow. In the second timecode the transitions between Captain Haddock’s past tales versus the predicaments of the present Haddock were simply amazing. The transitions had been done so well that took the viewer on a ride between the stories.
