Anthony is an animator whose drawings pulse with energy surging from one subject matter to another. His surreal visuals have the foundation of solid drawing and his rough animation style really compliments his creative visual ideas.

Have a look and check out this trippy animation. Lets talk about three principles of animation that are seen in this video.

First one being squash and stretch.

At this point in the animation, animals are being picked up and tossed. There is visible stretch in the frames where the animals are ascending, then squash as the animals slow down, and the stretched again as they are tossed in another direction. There are many more examples of squash and stretch throughout the video but a lot of it is incorporated in the morph style sequences and are harder to pin point.

Secondly lets talk briefly about arcs in the animation,

The above images show a clear arc animation, the monkey circulates his arm from the right side of the frame towards the left. The arc is performed in a way that seems natural. Anticipation is also used in this sequence, the monkey really gears up his arms before initiating his arc to the other side.

Lastly lets talk about follow through.

In this part of the video, the t.v. lifts its tentacles and smashes the ground. You can see from the first two images that the tentacle is being raised, the third picture shows the tentacle “following through” the motion as it arches back and then slams into the ground after wards.
