  1. Squash and Stretch

Squash and stretch is used a lot in this animation one example being the frames at two minutes and eight seconds. The face of the main character is being stretched and squashed to emphasize the astonishment he is experiencing. This makes the action faster and more exaggerated.

2. Easing

Easing is also used a lot in this animated music video. One example of which is seen when the main character is stepping onto the moon for the first time. This makes the action more realistic and also gives an idea to the gravity of the space. At first the foot comes down quickly, then gradually eases into the ground, moving slower.

3. Arcs

The fundamental of arcs can bee seen widely through the piece, but is seen early on when the main character is given a teddy bear as a gift. The movement of the girl’s arm is in a circular or arc shape, making the movement more smooth and keeping the size consistent.

4. Staging

Staging is important in this music video, as a lot happens in a short amount of time. The placement of the main character and the Earth is important as it draws the viewers attention and makes the action stand out more. There are no other conflicting actions to distract from the major event happening in the background.
