Achievement came during the same week as another leading electronic patient care record and fire record management service experienced a multi-day interruption in dispatch (CAD) import.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CHARLOTTE, NC and CONCORD, CA (March 7, 2018): Beyond Lucid Technologies, an award-winning health-and safety technology firm that makes software to connect EMS agencies and the care facility they serve, is proud to announce that as of February 27, 2018, its MEDIVIEW electronic patient care record system and BEACON Prehospital Health Information Exchange are certified compliant with NEMSIS v3.3.4 (the latest required level) in North Carolina. This achievement is especially noteworthy because BLT completed the compliance process in just 24 hours from start to finish.

The state’s stamp of approval means that BLT’s MEDIVIEW ePCR platform and BEACON Prehospital Health Information Exchange meet North Carolina data collection and transmission requirements “out of the box.” In addition, MEDVIEW can transmit EMS data to all hospitals served by Fire and EMS agencies across the state in as little as 30 seconds, at no additional cost (and just a modest per-record fee to transmit records from other ePCR programs). The rapid attainment of compliance highlights the unique degree to which MEDIVIEW and BEACON can accommodate local, state and agency-specific legal, financial, and operational mandates.

Two days earlier, BLT also achieved statewide data compliance in Illinois on its first attempt. MEDIVIEW by Beyond Lucid Technologies is now compliant in 20 states across United States, and serves partner-client agencies in three countries (including Canada and Australia). BLT was the first NEMSIS ePCR; the first to achieve state compliance in California, South Carolina, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and North Dakota; and the first ePCR to let prehospital data be imported on the hospital side of the handoff, in just 30 seconds, in consumable formats.

“North Carolina has been a hotbed of EMS innovation for years. There are statewide efforts to connect with hospitals, interface Fire RMS with ePCR, advance Mobile Integrated Health, and generally show the value of data,” said Jonathon Feit, Co-Founder & CEO of Beyond Lucid Technologies. “For the first time, North Carolina agencies can adopt one unified system that is compliant and accomplishes all these advanced objectives. As the use of data by EMS becomes SOP, we believe EMS agencies should ask, Isn’t it time to switch to a technology and partner where user experience, support and compliance are always top of mind?’”
