A new point of sale system will be used throughout Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark starting in 2022 as the stadium becomes a cashless facility, adding multiple new forms of digital payment.

Select concession stands will offer customer-facing ordering systems to help expedite the process, allowing more staff to focus on order fulfillment and speed up service.

“We’re really confident from the moment you enter the queue line to the moment you’re placing your order is going to rapidly increase,” Michael Byrnes, OKC Dodgers President/General Manager, said. “As a management team, this is an area we’ve spent a lot of time preparing for and making sure it has a really positive impact on the food and beverage experience for our fans this year.”

Credit and debit card purchases will be accepted throughout the ballpark, team-controlled parking lots and the OKC Dodgers Team Store. Digital payments, such as Apple Pay, Google Pay and Venmo, will also be accepted at concession stands.

Fans who do not have a credit or debit card or other form of digital payment will be able to exchange cash for a Dodger Dollars card at the ticket office that can be used at concession stands.

Twenty additional points of sale will be implemented at concession stands throughout the ballpark, cutting down on lines and wait times. The new system will be a combination of customer-facing touch screens and employee-operated handheld devices.

“We have taken away cash, but added four or five different options to pay,” Will Fenwick, Director of Food Service Operations, said.

Professional Sports Catering, the food and beverage partner of the OKC Dodgers, plans to maintain the same staffing levels at the busiest concession stands, allowing employees to focus on order fulfillment.

“There is a lot of value for our guests,” Fenwick said. “You are going through the line faster to get the order faster.”
