Organization remains active in community throughout holiday season

From volunteering on Giving Tuesday to Speakers Bureau and mascot visits to hosting community events at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, the Oklahoma City Dodgers have stayed busy throughout central Oklahoma to close out 2019.

Here are some highlights of the OKC Dodgers’ recent community efforts around the metro area.

On Giving Tuesday, the OKC Dodgers Baseball Foundation coordinated several opportunities for members of the OKC Dodgers front office to donate their time in a variety of ways throughout the day.

Staff members read to students at area schools, visited patients at the VA Medical Center and helped care for animals at the Oklahoma Humane Society.

Dodgers mascots made numerous appearances throughout OKC.

Brix recently joined mascots from the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University and University of Central Oklahoma at Paycom to celebrate the company’s “Top Places to Work 2019” achievement.

He also stopped by the 2019 Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk in Oklahoma City.

Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark hosted numerous special community events, including Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt and Leadership Oklahoma City for a recent Lunch and Learn about MAPS 4.

OSSAA fall baseball state tournament championship games were held at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

The ballpark also served as the backdrop to the annual Oklahoma City Tree Lighting Festival and Bricktown Association’s annual Brick-or-Treat.

“Voice of the Dodgers” Alex Freedman made several visits throughout the metro area.

Via the OKC Dodgers Speakers Bureau, the OKC Dodgers Director of Communications and Broadcasting offers a behind-the-scenes look at the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

One of his recent stops included a visit to Riverside Elementary in El Reno.
