OKC Dodgers Extend Player Development Contract with Los Angeles Dodgers
Oklahoma City to Remain Los Angeles Dodgers’ Triple-A Affiliate Through 2020

The Oklahoma City Dodgers will remain as the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers through the 2020 season.
The OKC Dodgers and Los Angeles Dodgers announced Wednesday the organizations have extended their Player Development Contract for two more years.
“Being part of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ organization and family throughout the last four years has been incredible,” OKC Dodgers President/General Manager Michael Byrnes said in a release. “There’s been an impressive string of on-field success in Oklahoma City and beyond, and the great fans of our city and state now bleed blue.”
The affiliation began in September 2014, when Mandalay Baseball, LLC — a partnership that includes ownership of the Los Angeles Dodgers—purchased Oklahoma City’s Triple-A franchise.
The OKC Dodgers won the Pacific Coast League’s American Northern Division title in 2015, 2016 and 2018, with the team advancing to the PCL finals in 2016.
National League Rookies of the Year Corey Seager (2016) and Cody Bellinger (2017) both played for the OKC Dodgers before making their Major League debuts.
The Los Angeles Dodgers’ 2017 World Series roster featured 10 former Oklahoma City players.
“Oklahoma City has been a great home to our players and we’re excited to extend our partnership with Mandalay Baseball and the OKC Dodgers’ organization,” Los Angeles Dodgers President and CEO Stan Kasten said in a release. “It’s been a fantastic partnership, and we’re grateful for the community support we’ve received in our four seasons in Oklahoma City.”
In addition, the Los Angeles Dodgers announced Wednesday they have also signed working agreements with Double-A Tulsa, High-A Rancho Cucamonga and Low-A Great Lakes to renew their affiliations.
Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Rancho Cucamonga and Great Lakes have all advanced to their respective league playoffs for the 2018 season.
“We are pleased to announce our continued partnership with our full-season affiliates,” Brandon Gomes, Director of Player Development for the Los Angeles Dodgers, said in a release. “We not only value our strong relationships and the first-class facilities provided, but the opportunity our men have to develop on the field while positively impacting the community around them.”
The OKC Dodgers are scheduled to open their American Conference Championship series with Games 1 and 2 against the Memphis Redbirds at 5:05 p.m. today at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in a doubleheader of two seven-inning games.
The series shifts to Memphis for Game 3 Friday, as well as Games 4–5, if necessary, at AutoZone Park.
