A summer of Stuwie events

It is well and truly autumn in the UK, so what better time to reflect on our summer parties in London, Birmingham and Teesside this year? Follow us back to the summer months and discover what the Stuwie communities across the country got up to!

London

Our picnic in Victoria Park was tragically cancelled when the heavens opened and a mighty downpour forced us to initiate plan B: set up camp in a nearby pub with our beautiful Krispy Kreme doughnuts (100 of them)! Thankfully the pub owners didn’t mind (no, we didn’t bribe them with doughnuts). A trickle of familiar faces appeared to catch up with each other and enjoy the treats! Valentina and her bike crew arrived, fresh from a cycle trip to Paris. We had guests from all over: cyclists from Poland, a motorcyclist from Venezuela, even a courier from Madrid called Javier who cycled all the way to London from Spain (via Bristol, obviously)! Cycling and favourite vehicles were, as usual, the main topics of conversation, but we also discovered some hidden talents: Afolabi showed us his salsa moves and the jenga skills we encountered were unmatched. All in all a delicious and jolly occasion!

Birmingham

In Birmingham, the weather was on our side as we gathered for some tasty treats in a scenic spot at Cannon Hill Park. We had a great mix of Stuwies old and new — from Mark who has been with us from the very beginning to Tekle who joined the team that very day! Everybody left 100% full and at least 50% more stylish after being decked out in free Stuart shirts and sunglasses.

Teesside

Kitted out and ready to bowl

Teesside, always alternative, wanted to go bowling instead, so a group of us set out for Hollywood Bowl in Teesside Park! Nick, the Teesside captain and Dave from UK Operations split the group into two teams. To Nick’s dismay Dave’s team won twice! Later the group headed off to a night out in Middlesborough.

W is for Winners!

Thanks to everyone who came, look out for news about our winter events!
