REDDING, CA — Violence erupted at a Trump rally yesterday as protesters crashed the event to make sure their disdain for the nominee was both heard and felt. When locating supporters of the nominee to comment on the unfolding events, they responded like dogs trying to bark with peanut butter in their mouths. Using a word cloud, the most common words stated by Trump supporters include “bro,” “man,” “dude,” “Mexicans are going to build that wall,” and “make America great again (whatever that means).” It was after the event when I began to take a hard look at my life and question my career choice as a reporter. Then I realized most people question their life choices after attending Trump events. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a family to contact I haven’t spoken to in 15 years. I guess there is some silver lining here.
