Fort Collins pizza.

It’s not a new topic and, more than likely, you or someone you know has searched it. Be it during a sudden weekday craving or a late-night party snack, Fort Collins’ pizza scene is always thriving. There’s nothing wrong with some cheese and grease, after all. Then what is wrong? What is the point of this list if you could search up the closest pizza stop in the time it takes to finish this article?

Well, that’s just it — the search.

Krazy Karl’s. Pizza Casbah. Cosmo’s Pizza. Though they aren’t Pizza Hut level names, they still rise above the rest and leave little for those struggling to climb to those ranks.

If you want to escape the buzz and crowd of the town’s supposed go-to spots, then you need to check out the up-and-comers. Here are three pizza places that Google doesn’t want you to see:

JJ’s Woodfired Pizza

Woodfire stone oven pizza

Located at 4015 S Taft Hill Road, this place is, admittedly, not fully based on pizza. With a menu that offers salads and desserts alongside their drinks and pasta, you might not think to stop in for a simple slice. However, the pizza menu on their site offers everything from authentic Neapolitan pizzas to specialty options. Customers even have the opportunity to build their own. When it comes to variety, JJ’s offers 6 sauce types, 5 kinds of cheese, 9 possible proteins and 15 other toppings. You might not have time to crunch the numbers on how many pizza varieties you can achieve with those options but you should certainly still make time in your schedule to visit. Let us know if they live up to the claim about serving you the best pizza experience in the Fort Collins area!

Oregano’s Pizza Bistro

Oregano’s Pizza Bistro

According to a Collegian article published after the restaurant's opening last fall, this Fort Collins location at 4235 S. College Avenue is the first Oregano’s to be made outside of Arizona. With a snazzy site that lets you check live wait times, Oregano’s is already proving that it’s here to impress. The menu, ranging from wings to sandwiches, doesn’t seem to hold back, either. Promising to be hand-tossed and baked in a hearthstone oven, the pizzas are the stars. With variations of pan pizza, thin crust and stuffed pizza, there seems to be something for everyone’s cravings. The menu puts the thin crust pizzas as their specialties. Check them out, even if it’s for the fun personality in the descriptions.

Urban Bricks

Fort Collins Pizza

Urban Bricks’ Fort Collins’ location at 2860 E. Harmony Road joined the community last summer. One of the more modern looking pizzerias around, Urban Bricks prides itself on its authentic customizable pizzas and edgy culture. According to their site, customers have options for more than 30 ingredients and build their own meal when they order. Unlike other pizza places, this place’s menu offers eat-in, delivery, and drive-thru. Yes, you heard that right: Drive-Thru Pizza. If that’s not a college town mood, I don’t know what is.
