2. Civic Center Park

Although this park may not seem like much at first, this location hosts many events throughout the year such as the upcoming Tour de Corgi on Sept. 28, 2019 or the French Nest Open-Air Market on Oct 19, 2019.

At 225 Laporte Avenue, this area has a great grassy area to enjoy a picnic or spend time with people. It is the perfect way to get outdoors and explore downtown.

3. Fossil Creek Park

Fossil Creek Park has a prehistoric aspect about it. Although many statues and sculptures of fossils and woolly mammoths sit all over the park, the modern amenities appeal to people.

Located at 5821 S Lemay Ave, this park has something for the whole family with features including the Fossil Creek Dog Park, playgrounds, courts and fields for sports, a fountain area to splash around in near the lake, and a skate park.

4. Rolland Moore Park

If you are looking for a large area to explore Rolland Moore Park covers 68 acres. This park feels endless with its open grassy areas, picnic shelters, and areas to play sports.

This location on 2201 S. Shields St. makes it perfect for those who want to lose themselves in nature especially because of its proximity to two City Natural Areas.

Rolland Moore Park also had the first handicap accessible playground in Fort Collins.

5. Edora Park

One of the most popular parks in the city, Edora Park houses the Edora Pool Ice Center, a skate park, playground, and a community garden.

Only a little smaller than Rolland Moore Park, this 65 acre park has something for everyone whether you take the children to the playground, try your hand at the disc gold course, or simply sit in the shade on a nice day.
