2. Wood & Wire | March 1st | Hodi’s Half Note
Grammy Nominated, Austin based Americana Roots band Wood & Wire is a band that brings in inspiration from many artists from the past. These acts include Willie Nelson and James McMurtry They say they are inspired from these musicians but don’t romanticize them as they are too busy making new music. 3. Asleep at the Wheel w/ Matt Skinner Band | March 15th | The Armory
Reviving American Roots and Western Swing is something that Asleep at the Wheel has been doing since the beginning. They got their start with writing new music in the style that made Bob Wills the king of Texas. After almost 10 years of no original music, Asleep at the Wheel has hit a creative stride once again with its release of its new album, New Routes. See them on their New Routes Tour with the Matt Skinner band on March 15th at The Fort Collins Armory. For those of you out there that enjoy local acts, Tim O'Brien is the man for you. Growing up in Northern Colorado, Grammy Award winning, Tim O'Brien spent much of his career touring as the front man of the very prolific bluegrass band Hot Rize. He now plays solo acts around the country featuring his own music and lyrics. Masontown is a bluegrass/old-time style band based out of Northern Colorado.
