Corepower is located off of South College Avenue in Fort Collins.
There are many different classes that Corepower provides. My personal favorite is yoga sculpt, which challenges your muscles in a lot of ways. This class gets your heart rate up, and really allows for you to sweat. Some people may be intimidated by the thought of yoga sculpt, but there is nothing to be afraid of. When the poses are broken down it is relatively simple, and is extremely beneficial mentally, and physically.

Ellie is an avid “yogi”. She will be demonstrating some of the fundamental moves in a Corepower Yoga Sculpt Class. Yoga Sculpt is taking yoga poses and incorporating weights. This class is where muscle meets yoga. The room is always heated with humidity making it more challenging. In her first pose she is illustrating “upward dog” with 5 pound weights. The weights add lift and more muscle engagement as she practices. (Photo Credit: Austin Caron)
After “upward dog” Ellie is displaying “child’s pose”. This pose allows you to stretch out in-between poses. Ellie moves from “child's pose” to high plank. This engages your wrist muscles, along with your chore. She is also engaging her upper arm muscles. The last pose shown is “chair pose” also known as “Utkatasana”. This pose is similar to a squat. The first pose here is “three legged dog”. It allows you to move to “crescent lunge”, and notice how her weights are always incorporated. From crescent lunge you move to warrior two. Your arms stay out to a wide “V” and this engages your bicep muscles. (Photo Credit: Austin Caron)
Here Ellie is using a block, which is commonly used in yoga practices. Here she is holding her weights at hearts center, and using the block to perfect the squat. This is really challenging and works her quadriceps, hamstrings, and gluets. (Photo Credit: Austin Caron)

These poses show the beginning flow of a yoga sculpt class. These poses are in order of how a yoga sculpt class would start. Sometimes instructors can switch it up, but these are the primary moves. Yoga sculpt focuses on strength training, and allows you to push yourself to your edge. It embodies the saying “mind over matter”. I think that if you have the opportunity you should try this class, and challenge your body. It is difficult, but if you are active this class is perfect for you.
