With a mix of genres with both underground and mainstream artists, the Fort Collins Aggie Theatre offers a set of concerts anyone who loves music can enjoy. Here are the top five concerts I would recommend seeing ranked from soonest to latest.

Against Me! is a Florida punk band who has been releasing albums since the early 2000s. By using a unique mix of folk and punk, the band has given birth to a raw, melodic sound that can please both hardcore punk fans as well as those who prefer their rock music with a slight pop edge. It also does not hurt that frontwoman Laura Jane Grace’s powerful vocals are explosive with emotion. Coming off of their seventh studio album, Against Me! is sure to bring plenty of energy to the Aggie Theatre stage.

3. Lettuce

Lettuce is a jazz and funk band who have been performing together for over two decades. Despite their long history, the group did not release their first album until a decade after meeting. The heptad recently unveiled their newest LP, “Mt. Crushmore”, last November. The group certainly knows how to create dance-able grooves with beats captivating enough to entertain any fan of jazz and funk.

Rapper, Ugly God, exponentially exploded in popularity within the last year. His most popular single, “Water” amassed over 65 million plays on Soundcloud and 23 million views on YouTube. While even he will criticize the quality of his music, few can argue against the power of his charisma. With bizarre song titles such as “Booty From a Distance” and “Bernie Sanders”, Ugly God’s ridiculously crude lyrics over lo-fi trap instrumentals will surely please anyone looking for a concert to laugh along to.

5. Tech N9ne

Ticket Price: $30 advance or $35 day of show

The second rapper and last entry on this list is legendary independent rapper, Tech N9ne. Hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, he released his first album, “Calm Before the Storm”, in 1999. Despite having a career spanning almost two decades, he managed to stay relevant due to his loyal fanbase as well rapping with a breakneck speedy flow. Tech N9ne has worked with a myriad of various artists ranging from the underground scene to mainstream hip hop stars such as Kendrick Lamar. While this show is the most expensive compared to the others on this list, it definitely is not one that should be immediately dismissed.
