The business expanded, and Watkins spent the next years seeding airfields for the US Army during World War II.
Between 1946 and 1987, the business changed owners three more times, finally landing in the hands of Gary Eastman and Gary Epstein. They divided the business into two separate businesses. Gary Epstein started a wholesale nursery, while Gary Eastman maintained the retail nursery.
In December of 2010, Gary Eastman transferred ownership to his son Jesse Eastman. Jesse grew up among the flowers of Fort Collins Nursery, keeping the family’s love for horticulture strong.
