How to Enjoy a Taco

We’ve been discussing tacos for the past four weeks now. I have given an inside look into the top 5 best places in Fort Collins to get a taco, a review of Dam Good Tacos, and a Q & A with Madison Cunningham. Now, you may be thinking to yourself, “What else is there to talk about with tacos?” Well, interesting question, but what’s even more interesting is the story of a day in the life of a taco-enthusiast.

Our story begins with a young college student, wearing the look of realization that she has no tacos handy.

Our shocked and scared college student takes the next steps in order to overcome this fear of lack of tacos. Getting in the car is step number one.

It’s not too long until our character makes her way to the Chipotle parking lot; again, fear is beginning to creep in as she catches sight of this horrid, impossible-to-find-a-parking-spot lot.

The fear does not last long, however, as she creeps her way into the Chipotle line, amazed at how many options she truly has to make the perfect taco. She also managed to get a crappy picture without looking like a creep.

Emotions are rolling high and they take a turn into pure joy as our college student sets home and opens her bag of Chipotle….what is inside could possibly be considered magic. It’s time to make her own taco.

With much care and strategy, she places the food inside the tortilla, making her personalized taco.

The desperate college students takes the first bite of her hand-made taco…she has nothing but happiness on her face. She finds the taste…exquisite.

Halfway through her first taco ingredients, she starts to experience a much too familiar emotion…sadness. Looking at the half-empty bowl makes her feel a little half-empty inside.

Feeling too many emotions at once, our character begins to scarf her food down to enjoy the last of her taco. She feels satisfied, until she looks down at her bowl and realizes it is all gone.

The sadness is too much as she realizes she will have to wait another day to enjoy a taco.

Although this may seem like an easy day for an average taco enthusiast, the truth of the matter is it can be an extremely emotional time. With fear of lack of tacos, happiness when enjoying the tacos, and then anxiety as it is all gone, this could make for an unhealthy recipe. While most of you probably don’t consume tacos on a daily basis, I am sure you have experienced at least one of these emotions when consuming this delicious food. It makes one wonder just what type of voodoo tacos place on an average college student. Beware of the taco emotions.
