Oh, the things you’ll see (and hear) in Old Town

When trying to decide if you want to catch a show in a city, it’s good to know what you might be getting yourself into, yeah? That is why I would like to stray from another text riddled story and give you a visual of everything you might be exposed to in the music realm of Old Town.

What does this place look like, anyway?

If you’re heading to Old town, this is the type of scenery you’ll be surrounded by. Picture being here for your first time getting ready to see a band you’ve always wanted to see, it’s not a bad sight!

Want to kill some time before a show?

Take a seat at The Silver Grill Cafe on Walnut St. for a quick and cheap eat before a show. If you already ate, head over to Rock ’N’ Robbins or Bizzare Bazar and surf their collection of old school vinyls — you’ll be surprised at some of the records they have

Will I belong?

If you’re afraid your “scene” won’t be prevalent in Old Town, don’t sweat. There are all sorts of people out there, you just have to dig deep sometimes! All metal-heads, bass-heads, and… people who shave the side of their heads are welcome (supposed to be a hipster joke).

Now that we’ve established this place is for every one, what types of shows can you expect?

We’re all into different styles of music. Some of us like the large scale concerts with a stage and packed crowds, while some of us would rather sit in a cafe and listen to the soothing plucking of a guitar while sipping on a warm coffee. Heck, some of us just want to see some raw talent out on the streets! Whatever you’re into, you can find it in Old Town.
