Pros and Cons of The Lyric vs. Cinemark Bistro and XD

If you enjoy going out to the movies, then you probably have a specific theater in mind when you go to. This might be your favorite movie theater to go to because of your own personal likings like the cost of tickets, the value of food, the seats, and maybe because they have a license to sell you alcohol. Well, these are my five pros and cons of going to The Lyric rather than going to Cinemark Bistro and XD (another favorite theater of mine).

Pros:

1. The first positive I would like to mention about The Lyric is the food they serve. Unlike the hot dogs, chicken tenders, and hamburgers they sell you at the Bistro, The Lyric has a greater variety of food and a more creative menu. When I went to the Lyric I was surprised to find out that they serve bacon wrapped dates, so I decided to order some. The perfectly crispy bacon was well wrapped around some of the sweetest dates I ever had. I also was impressed of the different selection of hot dogs they had up on their menu as opposed to the Bistro where they do not. The food at the Lyric just has more care and art into making it which one could with just a first bite.
2. The ambiance at the Lyric is different than any other movie theater because it does not look very much like one. It looks like an old warehouse, but in a good way; this gives it a unique representation and makes it look cool. They also have seats and tables in the main area where you could enjoy your food or go to the bar and order some drinks. The Lyric also has space outside for you to chill and enjoy the day; they sometimes even hold outdoor screenings.
3. In my opinion, the Lyric puts more thoughts on ways to make sure their customers come back and have that unique experience with them. Some of their creative ideas aim to attract people of all ages. For example, every Saturday and Sundays they have show cartoons like the Looney Tunes for the whole morning. They also offer a cereal buffet and a brunch menu if you do not want the cereal; although, this could be a great time for younger kids and the adults could enjoy something else.

Cons:

1. Seating to me is very important if I am going to be sitting for two hours straight. I personally like be comfortable when watching a movie because if I am not comfortable I could end up hating the movie or even missing parts of it too. The seats at Lyric are not as comfortable as I would like them to be and if you are unlucky and all the top row seats are full you might have to sit at the bottom where they have uncomfortable wooden church pews for seating. This is where the Bistro wins with their comfortable seating where you even have the option of reclining your chair. Also, you could pay online and reserve your own seat when you get your ticket so you don’t have to arrive an hour early to get the best seats.
2. Cinemark Bistro also has the XD seatings where they have a bigger screen that provides better quality and color. Their XD seating also has a surround sound system and more speakers which makes the movie more entertaining and helps you focus more on what’s going on in the movie. Unfortunately, the Lyric does not provide the same experience when you go to their theaters.
3. Finally, I believe that human beings just want to live a simple life and that is one thing Cinemark Bistro and XD provides to us. This great service of theirs is that they bring your food order to your seat and set it on your table that comes attached to your seat. Although the Lyric has an area where you could eat your food, Bistro provides this awesome service of bringing you food where you could enjoy in your seat during the movie on a decent sized table. This takes away your time planning if you wanted to have dinner at the movies.
