The District: The Best Student Housing At CSU’s Campus West

Whether you’re a new CSU student in Fort Collins, or a senior looking to graduate, The District has something to offer for everyone. Located at West Plum Street and South Shields Street, it is one of the closest apartment complexes to the west side of campus, enabling students with easy access to campus activities, and the ability to always make it to class on time. Although The District is a little more pricey than some other student housing, it more than holds its own due to its convenient location, and multitude of living arrangements.

Living the Dream

One thing you can count on at The District is your freedom to choose. There are six floor plans with varying prices, layouts, and bedrooms to choose from. Other apartment complexes in the area have less, such as Ram’s Park which only has two floor plans, and Ram’s Crossing West only one.

Floor Plans At The District

All rooms come fully furnished with Wi-fi, private bathrooms, and a balcony. Other amenities included in your stay at The District are: a public pool and hot tub, tanning salon, fitness facility, computer lab, and an outdoor lounge area with several T.V.’s, so there’s no shortage of things to do. In addition, The District’s parking garage gives you the option of covered parking, a huge convenience during the winter, or open parking.

The District keeps the residential community active by using social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. The staff run and promote events like BBQ’s, game day events, and other social activities to maintain inclusivity in the community. You can follow them and keep up to date through the links below.

CSU has a beautiful campus. Many students hold sacred their time on campus, because it provides some of the best entertainment in Fort Collins. Living at The District, you will be in on the action. Just a short walk or bike ride across South Shields Street on West Plum Street and it’s a straight shot to the student recreation center, the intramural fields, and Lory Student Center. There is no need to ride down any busy roads.

If traveling by bike or by foot is not your thing, there is a Transfort bus stop right outside the parking garage at The District. These buses run Monday through Saturday to the Colorado State University Transit Center outside the Lory Student Center, with buses arriving about every 10 minutes.

Good Eats

Fort Collins is home to some of the best restaurants in Colorado, and CSU students take pride in knowing the ins and outs of each. Some of Fort Collin’s most famous restaurants such as Cosmo’s Pizza, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, Spoons, and Krazy Karl’s are all in walking distance to the south of The District on West Elizabeth Street. If you like food, The District is the place to be.
