If you are looking for a traditional relationship and the classic dinner date and a movie, you better try that shit in Denver. However, if you are trying to find a partner that is also not trying to get heavily committed like most extremely busy young adults-Tinder is usually the go to option.

With Tinder, there are not any huge expectations that comes with other dating apps or websites so its the perfect “meeting people app” for the young adults of this generation that don’t actually date, at least in the traditional sense. As much as it deeply saddens me to say this, we are the generation of ‘Netflix- and-chilling” and “just hanging out”. As useful and innovative as Tinder has been, it also can be credited for killing romance and chivalry (as well as most peoples’ reputations).

Everyone knows that you are not going to find anyone willing to spend money to take you out to dinner first, especially in a college town like Fort Collins. But that’s what makes Tinder so perfect here. Fort Collins is home to CSU, which is one of the most “swiped-right” universities in the country. While not everyone is completely like minded in their views on dating and relationships, you will find a much larger single demographic with more people looking for more casual relationships verses heavy commitments.

Fort Collins has a wide demographic of young adults as well as great bar, nightlife, and party scenes. All of this mixed up with many young naive college students fresh and ready to start exploring the options of Fort Collins single population, makes for a great selection of Tinder picks. While you do have to swipe through the generic bunch of tinder personalities (guys hiding behind cute picturse of their dogs and girls striking the same selfie pose in every picture), you are also more likely to find people with the same laid back attitude about companionship as you.

What normally makes Tinder Trash is what makes it work in Fort Collins.

No one takes finding love on Tinder seriously anymore , and if you are still trying to find a relationship on Tinder, then I doubt anyone takes you seriously either. I’m just gonna say it one more time for anyone clinging on to the idea that the person you matched with will look damn fine in your pre-selected wedding colors: no one uses Tinder for dating or anything long term. If you are looking for love try Eharmony, Farmers Only, Christian Mingle, Black People Meet.com, even Grinder… There’s something weird out there for everyone.
