Most everyone in Fort Collins has an occasional sweet tooth. Luckily, there are places people can stop in for a quick dessert and leave with a smile on their faces. There are numerous places to go for this sweet tooth but here are the top 5:

1.Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory: Located in the Foothills Mall, this franchise serves all types of chocolate in a variety of ways. People can select from an assortment of chocolates, fudge, truffles, apples dipped in different chocolates, or just a get a box with an assortment of chocolates. The options are all on display around the store. All the ingredients are shipped from Durango, Colorado, making this stop native to Colorado.

2.Nuance Chocolate: Located in Old Town, this cafe offers chocolate bars, hand-rolled truffles and hot drinks. According to their website, this place produces “authentic, honest, spirited chocolate.” The chocolate is from ethnic cacao beans around the world and the final products are all made from scratch. Starting up from two “chocoholics,” this local cafe welcomes all other chocolate fans. There are seats all around the cafe, bringing people in to sit and stay awhile, as well as allowing people to just stop in for some on-the-go chocolate.

3.Mary’s Mountain Cookies: Near the heart of Old Town, this cookie shop has a variety of unique cookies. It’s been located in Fort Collins for over 20 years, providing the community with a delicious treat. Customers have 30 different cookies to choose from as well as edible cookie dough, ice cream sandwiches and brownies. There are three different sizes costumers can select from. As well as being able to order in the store, there is an option for delivery and even shipment for people who live out of state.

4.Butter Cream Cupcakery: This cupcakery has two locations in Fort Collins; one in Old Town and the other farther south in the marketplace. Made fresh everyday, this family owned and operated business welcomes sweet toothers to stop in for a quick cupcake or get a box to bring back home. There are the basic flavors provided everyday. On specific days, the unique flavors appear. Their website lists all these special flavors and what days people can get them on. There are also gluten free and vegan cupcakes that are offered.

5.Walrus Ice Cream: For the cold dessert lovers, Walrus Ice Cream has been providing a variety of ice cream in Fort Collins since 1987. There are 29 flavor choices daily, ranging from original ice cream flavors to abstract ones. There are seasonal servings of ice cream on crepes or served in a cup of hot chocolate or coffee. The ingredients are all natural and are made without eggs or gluten and there is an option to put on toppings. This is a place to stop in and grab a quick, cold dessert, and for costumers to either stay for a little or to grab it for on-the-go.
