If you live in Fort Collins, you’re probably aware that it’s a very health-oriented community, which is an excellent culture to be a part of.

But if you’re anything like me, going to the gym is the last thing you want to do in your spare time. It’s expensive, it’s time-consuming, and let’s face it: it’s flat-out boring.

Fortunately for all of us, Fort Collins is filled with a host of ways to remain active that don’t involve the dreaded task of going to the gym. Check them out below.

  1. Old Town Yoga

Located in the heart of Old Town, Old Town Yoga is a commitment-free way to keep yourself feeling refreshed and healthy both physically and mentally. While they do offer year-long memberships if you’re looking for something long-term, they also offer one-time classes so you can check them out without deciding if you want to commit. One of my favourite options is their $5 classes offered Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. These classes include full yoga sessions with a trained instructor as well as a relaxing meditation at the end. Check it out at www.oldtownyoga.com.

2. Sundance Steakhouse and Saloon

Country-Lovers, this one’s for you. On top of offering food and drinks that are off the charts, Sundance Steakhouse and Saloon has live country music four days a week, and believe me when I say they take their dancing very seriously. So grab some friends and come bust some moves on their 20 ft. by 30 ft. dance floor where you can have some drinks and dance late into the night. Sundance also offers $5 line dancing lessons every Thursday, all levels welcome. You can check them out here: sundancesteakhouse.com
