Top 4 Workouts that Don’t Feel like Workouts

This is for all of us who would rather sit on the couch than hop on a Treadmill, who are ‘too busy’ to go to the gym, who hate working out alone, or who don’t feel confident at the gym. Group-Fitness is the answer to all these problems my friend. It doesn’t feel like work because the classes are fun, the instructors are engaging, and the whole group makes it feel social and fun. Plus, the designated start and stop times mean that these classes can be easily planned into your schedule.

The Confidence Builder:

1) Limelight Fitness: $19.50 a class, or $5 on Fridays

http://www.limelightfitness.com/

How could you not want to join this squad? Limelight Fitness uses poles and hoops and hanging fabric to bond beauty and power while empowering the men and women who take classes here. Before going to the bars on Friday night, try out the $5 beginner class as a fun way to get your groove on before going out. Each class builds on each other and has a different focus, so you can focus on strength, flexibility, technique, or power, depending on which classes you opt for.

The Energy Locator:

2) Jazzercise: $10 to start (with September promotion)

Hit up one of these classes if you are ready to move. These instructors make sure you do, with 800 calories burnt in one 60-minute class, don’t expect to sit down much. With their September promotion you can start this program for 10 dollars. The goofy music and fast paced environment makes the class feel more like an exhausting, but really fun, dance party.

The Strength Discoverer:

3) Cycle Bar: Free first class and $10 drop ins after

You are going to find muscles you didn’t even know you had when you take these classes. They are always low impact and easy on the knees and other joints. The coaches work to make everybody feel productive by offering 1 on 1 critics and encouragements for faster improvement. As you cycle you get bolstered with positive affirmations and encouragements, which makes the whole experience way more enjoyable, never mind the oodles of sweat dripping off your forehead.

The Courage Acquirer:

4) Ilovekickboxing: $20 for 3 classes

If you are tired of being afraid while walking down the street at night then it is time to take a self defense class. Get ready to feel confident in your motions as you work your way through their 60-minute hybrid classes. Don’t worry if you are not in shape, they want everybody, no matter their level, to feel comfortable in class so they don’t divide the class by level, but by focus.

Grab your shoes and get rolling because all of these places offer classes every day, all throughout the day, so there is no excuse!
