Top Five Ways to Listen to Rock Music in FoCo
Being a rock fanatic myself, and hosting a weekly radio show centered around that genre, I began to wonder about the best ways I listen to rock music here in Fort Collins. With new venues popping up everyday, and fresh talents being discovered, there is certainly plenty of music to go around; it can even get overwhelming at times. So without further ado, these are (in no particular order) my go-to’s when I’m craving some rock.

If you’re looking for a mix of new and old rock, and want to hear about up-and-coming rock artists, turn your dial to to 106.7 and prepare for some seriously awesome content. They do special rock news features and daily historical look-backs in rock history.

2. Surfside 7
Their motto is “Eat. Drink. Rock.”, and that’s exactly what they do. The cozy venue nestled in Old Town on Linden Street features lots of eclectic acts, and have karaoke every Wednesday night. So sit back, relax, and enjoy.

3. 92.9 The Bear
Classic rock is their game, and they’re killing it. They play all of the rock music that we know and love, so if you’re looking to sing and dance along for hours on end, this is the perfect station for you.

4. Hodi’s Half Note
Artists from all over the country travel to Fort Collins just to perform at Hodi’s, along with loads of local bands. Some notable artists are Post Paradise, Holdfast, Lola Black, Declan McKenna, and so many more. They are located conveniently on North College Avenue and are sure to have something you’re looking for.

5. Old Town Square
Local artists frequently play music in Old Town Square, so if you happen to be wandering around, odds are you’ll come across some great unknown talents.
