It can be easy to get caught up in what in means to be sustainable, but if we take a step back and look at the whole picture its actually not a very hard concept to understand. If we want to be sustainable, we simply must start taking more pride in how we use our water, change our agricultural practices and use our energy efficiently.

Corn, cows and chickens

These are the top three agricultural products that the United States produces: corn, cattle meat and chicken meat. Each of these products use an immense amount of water and produce a large amount of green house gasses.

solar panels, water and wind turbines

If we want to continue living on this great planet, we must start using much more sustainable energy such as solar panels and wind turbines. Along with this, we also need to start conserving our water and using it in a more frugal way.

plane, automobiles and a train

Along with conserving our energy we must become less attached to fossil fuels, especially oil. Once we find a way to run our transportation industry without the use of oil, it will be a great day for everyone on this planet.
