As the oldest restaurant in the Northern Colorado area, Silver Grill offers the most original and genuine breakfast a person can ask for. With it’s roots going all the way back until 1912, it was once called “Uneeda-Lunch Cafe”. It was owned by a man named Charlie Liggett, who bought the property for a mere $140.

Surprisingly, the restaurant got it’s name from a hungry sign painter who painted the words “Silver Grill” on the building and traded his masterpiece for a pork chop lunch (which is still featured on the menu today).

And the tradition lives on. Today, they still serves the good ‘ol home style cooking that has been around for over 100 years. Silver Grill is said to be the most successful and delicious restaurant in Old Town, and I would agree with that! The friendly and personal staff will make sure your visit is just as filling to your day as it is your stomach. The best menu items offered would be the variety of their famous cinnamon rolls, omelets, and even a Bloody Mary Bar which lets you pick the ingredients you want. Not only does Silver Grill offer the best breakfast in town, lunch is also served daily with a menu addition called the “Noon Time Dinner”.

Some may believe this is not the hottest breakfast spot around, so Silver Grill’s biggest competition would have to be either Snooze or Lucile’s. Even though The Grill offers a larger seating capacity including a back outdoor patio which was recently renovated.

Affordable and appetizing, this place is sure to meet your expectations for a damn good breakfast.
