Americans run on Coffee. There is no doubt about that, especially considering about 54% of Americans drink coffee daily. With that being said, why not combine your studies with a cup of coffee by your side in downtown Fort Collins?

Coffee is a part of people’s daily routines; about 125 million people worldwide depend on coffee. With coffee being a source of caffeine, this substance becomes a college student’s best friend. Students depend on coffee during test weeks because of the energy the drink can provide. This is why a coffee shop is the perfect place to study at; it has a place with limited distractions and provides a source of energy. A perfect combination that I can vouch for: coffee and homework.

Coffee shops also stimulate creativity. The background noise of music and people talking creates a positive distraction that stimulates the imagination, especially when the coffee shop has plenty of inspirational and creative artwork that helps motivate the brain.

Although a majority of students drink coffee, not all do. This is why serving alternative drinks like tea, smoothies and milkshakes are important aspects when owning a coffee house. Fortunately, most coffee shops in “Old Town” Fort Collins, Colorado offer these alternatives, including food. Even though coffee drinkers still outnumber tea drinkers, it is important to keep a wide range of options to keep students happy. Having many choices to choose from makes it that much easier to end up staying at a coffee shop all day while studying; there is a never-ending supply of food and drinks to choose from.

Another plus about studying in a coffee shop is that there is no need to be quiet and talking to your study buddy is not frowned upon. Unlike the library on a college campus, coffee shops have no awkward silence and no one telling you to be quiet.

The importance of having a motivational place to study is essential for a student. It is hard to stay on task and not procrastinate when doing schoolwork. This is why a place that is relaxing, but also stimulating, is exactly what a college student needs.

All in all, the perfect place to study is at a coffee shop. It satisfies the caffeine addiction while creating a perfect environment to quietly stress about all the homework you have not yet finished.
