The False World

We sit in our homes consuming content from other places, other people, other worlds. We transport our minds away from here and to the digital ether. It flows into our minds, tethering us, pulling us from the here and now. Our communities, the people around us, are strangers, and those we will likely never meet in person become our closest friends. But the digital world is not real, the real world is around us, yet we have neglected our neighbors, the local businesses, and the impoverished outside of our doors.

The internet was never supposed to become the world; it was supposed to support it, to empower those who wished to break the boundaries of space and time. It did this for a fleeting moment. It actually created a better world for a time. Now, we are detached from the real and imprisoned in our own homes, trapped in our minds. That prison is not real, yet we have submitted ourselves to it.

Our houses used to be what embodied freedom — to own property, to build a home, and construct our private world. We have given this away for free. What our forefathers fought for is now lost. That dream died with them generations ago. Liberation, freedom, we have none.

Our homes are filled with sensors that transmit our every move. We have simply become patterns to keep track of — to tune. We willingly pay for our own imprisonment. We not only pay for the cell but also upgrade it every year because the wardens want us to. Some resist the demand to continue improving the shackles, but without imprisoning yourself, it is quickly becoming impossible to exist in the world. It is taboo to be free. Freedom was only ever an idea — one that could not be allowed to become more than a dream.

We must stop believing in this grand delusion, but we cannot. We have so much become part of the prison that our lives only exist in the mess halls, the prison yard, the television room, and the corridors. It is impossible to imagine a free world because we have never seen one. All we have seen is the illusion of freedom through the words of the wardens. We fear what lies outside of the prison walls because they have told us they are protecting us. Danger beyond the fences, but “you are free” — as long as you don’t break your pattern.

There are approved activities you can engage in, specific ideas you are allowed to entertain. But even the dissidence is a lie. You leave one cell and walk into another. From right to left, from the tame to the extreme, all are allowed. And if a new ideology arises, it is quickly subsumed. Since our very birth, we have been fed lines from scripts, and we continue to play the part. Acting our way through lives as if we said the words coming from our mouths. They were not our words. They were not our thoughts.

We can’t blame our parents, we can’t blame our teachers, for most do not know. And for those who do, they use this knowledge to become wardens of their own. The truth can be leveraged to rise up and step higher on the pyramid.

It takes effort to stand up to the pharaohs of our age. These men and women aim to push us into serfdom once again, yet promise ultimate freedom. We build their pyramids and towers just as the laborers did in Giza. If the Egyptian pharaohs could build their pyramids without the laborers, would they still have a use for them? A time will come where this will be our plight. Domination lies before us.

They do not care for us, but we have been infected with their lies. We have been deceived by a wolf in sheep’s clothing. We watch shadows dancing on the wall of the cave as the sword is readied to strike at our necks. But we can break the shackles, we can overcome the wardens, we can break out of the cave and find the real world. It is out there.

The false world has revealed itself in the last several months. We have seen the wizards behind the curtain, and we mustn’t let them slither away. Although it is difficult to see reality for what it really is, it is time to tear away the veil and see what was always there. Deep down, we feel it is this way, but we fear that truth. We must face trepidation and discern what is really going on in our world. For the world is inverted.

Freedom is tyranny.
Knowledge is illusion.
Leadership is domination.
Science is religion.
Experts know nothing.
Technology is our prison.
