As good as Clark is, she’s not Olympic worthy — yet

Here we go again on another trip on the Caitlin Clark roller coaster.

The United States Women’s Basketball roster for the upcoming Summer Olympics was announced this weekend.

Hold on to your jockstraps and sports bras everyone, Caitlin Clark was not chosen to be on the roster.

Snub alert!

Cue the outrage.

Why all the outrage?

It’s easy to understand why so many people are upset by this.

According to the masses, Clark is single-handedly responsible for the massive uptick in people attending, viewing, talking, and writing so much about the WNBA.

It doesn’t matter if she has a good game or a down game, if she’s shooting bricks or raining 3’s, or even getting drilled by a cheap shot foul from behind, Caitlin Clark is gold for the W.

So why not give her a chance to earn real gold this summer playing for the U.S. Olympic team? Why not transfer those stellar television ratings to the international stage?

Valid questions to be sure.
