Portland Art Museum’s Current and Upcoming Exhibitions Include ‘Guillermo del Toro: Crafting Pinocchio’
Major highlights include director’s craft, a Hito Steyerl U.S. premiere, “Black Artists of Oregon,” “Africa Fashion” from a London museum and Cinema Unbound Awards, plus a newly announced Botticelli masterpiece
PORTLAND, Ore. — The Portland Art Museum in Oregon announced its slate of current and upcoming special exhibitions. They include the recently announced “Guillermo del Toro: Crafting Pinocchio.” The museum’s major special exhibitions in the coming year also include the United States premiere of “Hito Steyerl: This is the Future”; “Black Artists of Oregon,” curated for the museum by artist Intisar Abioto; and “Africa Fashion,” from the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, United Kingdom.
In addition, PAM CUT // Center for an Untold Tomorrow, the museum’s film and new media arm, will present the 2023 Cinema Unbound Awards in June, celebrating boundary-breaking multimedia storytellers working at the intersection of art and cinema.
