Fancred
One new social media site is an app called Fancred. This a great app for sports fans everywhere. You can connect with people around the country during the big game, catch live scores of games, and even live stream any sporting event! This is the only sports app that you’ll ever need.
When you sign up, you pick your favorite professional teams and the app suggests to you a few people to follow based on those choices. You also get an album for each of your favorite teams that collects all of your posts. Currently, I only have a few posts, both being about the Patriots. The more I plan on using this app, I hope to add more content about the Celtics, Bruins, and eventually the Red Sox.
This is your homepage, where the people in your “Crew” will post. Your Crew is all the connections you have and all the posts that you can see. Boston Globe Sports posted an external link that opens up your browser where you can read the full article. This is a very popular feature that most social media sites have now and it is proven to be useful. I’m glad that Fancred incorporated this feature. Another great part of Fancred is where you can view live scores right from inside the app. No more having to switch to another app to stay current with any games. This is also another useful feature that Fancred has made their own.
Live streaming is also a unique part of Fancred. This is great for people who wish to experience the game, but cannot make it there. The Carolina Panthers gave an inside look to what was going on at the Super Bowl, the biggest sporting event of the year!
Fancred is a beautifully designed app that connects thousands of sports fans around the world. Similar to the ESPN app, it has a clean interface and is easy to navigate around in. Fancred is like Twitter and ESPN combined. It has all the capabilities of your common social media app, and then has it’s own unique elements that make it great. I plan on using this app much more often, as I love sports. It is definitely an app that is worth checking out.
