Bezant Completes Developing Its Blockchain Platform ‘Bezantium’

As many of our community members have been aware, today will mark the start of a new chapter here in Bezant. As one of the blockchain platform service providers, Bezant Foundation, under the leadership of Steve Tay and Chan Joon Kim, is pleased to announce that we have now completed the development of ‘Bezantium’, our mainnet. This will allow our blockchain-as-a-service platform, as stated in our mission, to empower world’s businesses to operate their service on a blockchain network in a few clicks.
Bezantium provides a variety of development environments where partners can create blockchain-based services and integrate them into existing businesses; making it easy to use blockchain technology without having to build and manage separate infrastructures. Its major functions include partner web admin, wallet management, token issuance/management, smart contract deployment/management, and network management.
With Bezantium now complete, Bezant development team has decided to release our mainnet in the two following phases.
[Phase One : Partner Open]
On 2019 April 11th, Bezant will launch its mainnet to our business partners to initiate their on-boarding process, integrating their system to our blockchain protocol and fine-tuning some network technicalities.
[Phase Two: Public Open]
On 2019 April 25th, Bezantium will be launched to all public users with Bezant Scan and Wallet services available.
Steve Tay, Foundation Director of Bezant, said, “In a short period of time, Bezant created a high-quality platform by taking a twofold approach: develop the core by using a proven existing framework; and focus on increasing the usability from an end user's point of view. Bezant used the Hyperledger Fabric as it’s main framework because of it’s proven technology and based on this foundation, have developed a blockchain infrastructure that provides a variety of features such token issuance, wallet, and scan, and improves usability through different tools to deploy smart contract and integrate an existing service easily to the blockchain.”
“The most important element in gaining the upper-hand in the emerging BaaS ecosystem is clearly usability. The focus should be on providing ‘developers’, the main users of the platform, the means to easily use blockchain technology so that they can integrate it into their services and enhance the ecosystem.”
Bezant utilized the Hyperledger Fabric as it’s main framework, which is a permissioned blockchain created and open sourced to Linux Foundation by IBM. It’s also one of the main projects of an umbrella of Hyperledger Frameworks and tools hosted by Linux Foundation; this global project involves 160 developers around the world.
Bezantium will provide a user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI) environment to maximize developer’s productivity. Partner companies can easily generate blockchain networks and issue their own tokens with just a few clicks, as if to create a website. In addition, Bezant will provide smart contract templates and coding guidelines for the frequently used features, allowing partner companies to create and distribute smart contracts and implement wallet services.
Bezant plans to expand the smart contract template library and update new features based on the partners’ needs. In addition, we will constantly maximize the convenience of DApp developers by supporting well-known development languages such as Java, Go, and Node.js.
Bezant will introduce and show a glimpse of Bezantium platform at ‘Deconomy 2019’ event, which will be held at Jangchung Arena in Seoul on April 4–5th. Our major partner companies will also be participating in the event at our booth to showcase how they will use our Bezantium to improve their services and come up with serviceable product.
