30 March, 2018. It’s a day to share the voices and sounds like never before.

Today we share sounds and voices from the ones who feel the most connected to World Bipolar Day. Looking far off, at a horizon where stigma thaws, and empathy and awareness about bipolarism shines on. We are presenting and sharing works and messages from the supporters of Bhor and anti-stigma campaign.

To commence the day, let’s kickstart from our founder Jhilmil Breckenridge who has shared audio message for today:

The head doctor

Here’s the little and yet, powerful poem by Sandeep Vachhani, who is an experienced recruiter with 10+ years experience in headhunting who holds an MSc. in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Asia e University, Malaysia. Sandeep has volunteered with Manav Rehab Centre and interned at Masina Hospital in Mumbai, India where he has provided counselling sessions for clients / patients with mental health conditions and psychological difficulties. He has written the poem — “The Head Doctor” as a tribute to service users in mental health.

Another contribution today is by Swati Agrawal who actively speaks against stigma and advocates to spread awareness on Bipolarism. In following piece she shares her story and her views on how should one celebrate World Bipolar Day:

Last year on World Mental Health Day, Director Suchita Bhhatia with Bhor launched Project Joy. We are re-sharing two of the documentaries of Bipoalr survivors who share their life stories.

Chapter: The Second Coming, Shubha Menon

Chapter: Going to School, Anika Ghei

Our last contribution and parting words are from Zain Khan, a fellow Bhorian and strong advocate for anti-stigma against mental health.

Hey! Happy World Bipolar Day, 30 March, 2018

Bhor is a non for profit mental health startup in Delhi,India.
