Israel Must Turn Back to God
Yes, Israel are God’s chosen people, but they must turn back to God. They have not been right either. (Deut. 7:6) For you are an holy people to the LORD your God: the LORD your God has chosen you to be a special people to himself, above all people that are on the face of the earth.
Israel messed up when they started serving other gods. Deut. 29: Even all nations shall say, Why has the LORD done thus to this land? what means the heat of this great anger? 25Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt: 26For they went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given to them: 27And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring on it all the curses that are written in this book: 28And the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.
What is happening in Israel today? Right now, Israel is at war. There is history in the Bible about Israel and prophecy.
Hosea 8: 1 Set the trumpet to thy mouth. He shall come as an eagle against the house of the Lord, because they have transgressed my covenant, and tresprassed against my law. 2 Israel shall cry unto me, My God, we know thee. 3 Israel hath cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him. 4 They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.
Luke 21:20 And when you shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is near.
It doesn’t appear that Israel has turned back to God. God has found everyone guilty of not obeying him, and all will be saved that will turn back to him.
Romans 3:9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin: 10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there isn none that doeth good, no, not one.
Romans 11:32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
