In Psalm 41:9, King David said, “ Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.”

People are saying the same thing today about how their friends turn against them. True friendship is rare. You’re lucky to have one bosom friend. It’s no surprise when we receive evil from those that we claim to be our friends. People turn against God and do him wrong also. If people are doing God wrong, they will also do a friend wrong. Judas betrayed Jesus and sold him for 30 pieces of silver according to Matt. 26. And in Luke 22:48, But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss.

I’m Gail Nobles and today’s topic is, Mine Own Familiar Friend.
