God provides Moshe with some of the fundamental behavior rules he would like the people to have. They probably started from these issues since they were common in this community or in general.

We have rules about slavery; murder; stealing; cursing; violence; sex before marriage; witches and sorcery; money loaning; lying; agriculture; main holidays;

every seven years an agriculture field is supposed to be left to relax. but today actually the behavior is a little different, where often these fields are sold for a brief time to a non-Jewish person, who continues to work on the land.

It is also described that the land will be given to the Israelites, and that it would be given slowly slowly “i will not give them to you in one year, since the land might be empty and the animals will overcome you (Exodus, 23:29)“

There is a deeper explanation for this point. not only from a “natural” point of view, but also from internal. saying “animal” it is intended for the inner beast, the evil part of the soul that wants to do bad. if you try to do many things at once, you might eventually be empty, or lose focus, which will fail you. build yourself and your belief step by step.

Then Moshe is asked to take Aharon and 70 other elders, and come to the mountain. Before leaving Moshe tells the people all the rules that were given to him, and the people responded: “we will do everything that we were told” (Exodus 24:3).
But right after this, Moshe writes all these rules in a book, and provides them this book with a ceremony. Then they said again: “everything that was said to us we will do and listen” (Exodus 24:7).
I find it weird that Moshe had to do these things twice. It was probably since he was not sure they understood, or felt they need more explanations.

It is said that they feasted with God (Exodus 24:10), and that he did not kill them (Exodus, 24:11). meaning that they were supposed to be killed. Therefore, it seems like not only Moshe has seen God and lived, although this can be explained in a way that God was not wearing his normal form.

Then Moshe goes to the mountain Sinai, in preparation to receive the Covenant.
