Sunday, Disney made a startling staffing change. After only eleven months on the job, their CEO, Bob Chapek, was summarily fired by the board and temporarily replaced by Bob Iger, the former CEO as they search for a replacement. Why would Disney do such a drastic, unannounced and disruptive thing? Would it have anything to do with the failure of their woke agenda?

What Happened

Simply put, Disney+ and their theme parks are hemorrhaging cash and crashing their value to investors. This is largely due to high production costs vs revenue related to woke and Satanic series such as the new “ Little Demon”, and other media programming such as “Maleficent, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, and “The Owl House”, to name a few. Additionally, the unfair compensation issues with Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), and the removal of Gina Carano from The Mandalorian due mainly to her stance on conservative values also certainly played a role. Finally, revenue even among the theme parks has come in way under market projections and their woke agenda has been widely publicized. Do you think their run-in with Florida’s governor, Ron DeSantis, might have anything to do with conservative families’ willingness to take their children to Disney World?

Chapek’s announced solution to Disney’s problems was to begin cutting budgets and staff across the company. Apparently, the board saw that the deeper problem was in the product being pushed on the public. Imagine Walt’s view of what Disney looks like today.

Disney stock plummeted 12% in one day following their quarterly earnings report on November 9 th. Shares had fallen 42% year to date. With the appointment of Iger the toll has recovered slightly and currently rests at a 37% loss from the previous year end stock price.

So, time will tell if the board and Iger (who is a strong progressive himself) have learned the lesson that morality does count for something in America and that there are traditional families in the marketplace, just as there are liberals, deciding whether to spend an average of $300+ per person per day for tickets and accommodations at Disney World, or $8/month for “family” shows like “Forces of Evil” and “ Little Demon “.

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! — Isaiah 5:20
