Introduction

As you probably know already, Bicerin is a publication focusing on liberal arts.

The topics we mainly talk about are: History of art (Also architecture, urban planning), History, Philosophy, literature (including theatre) and book reviews.

We will gradually expand but we are trying to keep the quality high and being organised at the same time.

The stories will always be under the account they are linked to, and that is the writer submitting, Bicerin will just appear as a publication platform for the article.

Language used

Bicerin articles must be written in English.

They don’t have to be academic pieces, opinion articles are accepted too, what is esstial though is being accurate.

References must be supplied if used, and good syntax and grammar are highly encouraged.

General Rules

  • You don’t have to be a Medium member, also you can choose to paywall your articles or not.
  • Avoid adding “Buy me a coffee” or other form of begging, just feels amateur and not professional. A good place to put this, is on the homepage of your profile.
  • All submissions must comply with Medium’s Ad-Free Policy, Content Guidelines, Curation Guidelines, and Rules. Please review them before you submit a draft.
  • Drafts or Published articles must be a minimum 5 -minute read.
  • We accept Published and Unpublished pieces
  • Sources must be cited at the end of the story. The credibility of sources matters, where possible avoid Wikipedia.
  • Submissions must be proofread and properly formatted.
  • All images must be copyright-free or of your ownership, and the source of the image must be mentioned.
  • Do you like visiting historical landmarks? Feel free to share your travel history stories.

Format and images

Titles and subtitles are mandatory, and each article has to have sub paragraphs to make the content more readable.

Images not taken from the internet stock are way more valuable, perform better in the SEO and are simply more elegant.

This gives a personal touch to your articles, that cannot be recreated and forges your writer style.

Links

Useful links are a great way to complete your piece, all have to be related to the topic, and if they point to Britannica or verified sources is better.

The more the merrier.

Comment from editor

In liberal arts every piece is different, limits can be broken at times, so the main rule is to write well (put yourself in it as much as possible) and have fun!
