November, 28th 2019 — The Spanish startup Happy Box, the first delivery company that will use artificial intelligence (AI) and implement a chatbot for the last mile, continues to revolutionize the delivery sector thanks to the agreement closed with BidiPass (3FA) to integrate an identity (ID) control system for the riders through its technology.

  • The new technology from BidiPass allows real-time identification for delivery staff at the exact time of the delivery. This tech will make rider management more efficient.
  • The delivery business is in dire need of better management: currently, the boom in delivery services has increased malicious practices in rider management.

The boom of the online distributors and home delivery services, either food or other goods, has created room for unprofessional practices, misuse of licenses, etc. Incorrect practices come along with situations that jeopardize professional riders’ performance and, to make things worse, cause non-compliance with the current law.

As a result of this agreement, Happy Box will implement BidiPass’ identity authentication protocol in its professional riders management application. Therefore, the distributors will be able to sign in using biometric security (3FA) when they deliver a package, thus making it impossible to hack identities in the process.

As Fernando Albarrán, Chairman at BidiPass, explains: “Currently, the delivery industry faces the “last-mile challenge”. Namely, the delivery businesses struggle to provide a frictionless experience for the recipient while keeping costs down and transparent processes all at once in real time. By introducing 3FA, we help in authenticating the delivery person, platforms, and distributors without any doubt thanks to biometrical sensors and provide a registry in the blockchain for each delivery.”

About Happy Box

Happy Box is the first Spanish delivery company fully committing on the use of AI and the implementation of a chatbot in its delivery system to automate the shipment processes while improving the direct communication with the end-user in the last mile.

Happy Box delivered successfully over 65.000 packages last year. What’s more, the company strengthens its presence in some of the largest cities in Spain: Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga, Sevilla, Valencia, and Murcia. The Malaga-based company is growing steadily while aiming to provide services in more Spanish cities and abroad soon.

As José María Martín, Chairman at Happy Box, explains: “The integration of this identity authentication technology will deal with — and solve — one of the toughest challenges taking place in the last-mile delivery businesses, namely the identification of the participants in the process. This agreement with BidiPass reinforces our commitment to the security related to the successful delivery of our boxes with the use of technology to improve the standards of our services.”

By implementing BidiPass (3FA), Happy Box will comply with the high-quality standards being able to authenticate the participant’s IDs without any margin of error for each purchase (buyers, distributors, and platforms). What’s more, they will also count on the blockchain as an unhackable “digital ledger” as a backup, but keeping operative costs very low.

About BidiPass (3FA)

BidiPass (3FA) is an identity authentication protocol that uses the blockchain as a ledger. The BidiPass (3FA) decentralized authenticator is the first one worldwide, designed for security infrastructures to be faster and more reliable than the current alternatives based on 2FA, such as Google Authenticator, boosting the state-of-the-art user experience (UX).

The BidiPass (3FA) platform offers a more secure, trustworthy, and user-friendly method to authenticate digital interactions within connected platforms using a two-layer security protocol that operates in a fully distributed peer-to-peer (P2P) manner.

The BidiPass (3FA) architecture is based on a hybrid solution that combines privates and public blockchains to provide the needed security and the performance in the interactions at the same time while keeping the operative costs low.

BidiPass (3FA) profoundly aligns with the ethos of decentralization, assuring the adaptability to technological innovations and scalable cybersecurity infrastructures in the long run.
