Using the BDP Data Market

Connect to the Market

• Access the beta Data Market — https://market.bigdataprotocol.com

• Select your wallet and connect to the Data Market (having trouble with MetaMask? Help here)
• Add BDP token to your wallet’s

Trade Tokens

• Accept the “Trade” terms & conditions
• Enter BDP to trade for datatokens from the pool

• Use Max returns the maximum amount that can be traded in a single transaction. It is designed to prevent a single trader from throwing the pool out of balance in one transaction

• Select ‘Approve & Swap’, then complete in your wallet by confirming gas & the transaction
• You’ll see a “Successfully swapped tokens” if the transaction goes through. Review the transaction in your wallet if the trade does not.
• Use the ⬇ button to switch trade direction; repeat the steps above to trade datatokens for BDP
• Remember that if you have at least 1.0 datatoken in your wallet, you can use it to Use the related dataset

Stake Tokens

• Begin by reviewing the datatoken’s Pool Statistics

• Then, Select Add Liquidity
• Accept the “Pool” terms & conditions
• Select BDP or the datatoken to add liquidity (you will need to have some amount of datatoken in your wallet — by trading BDP for it, as an example—to stake it)

• Use Max returns the maximum amount that can be add to the pool in a single transaction. It is designed to prevent a single user from dominating the pool in one transaction
• Click Approve & Supply, then complete in your wallet by confirming gas & the transaction
• Hit ⬅Back to review your pool liquidity
• You will also see a Remove button — click it to remove liquidity

• Use the slider to set how many pool shares to remove; below, the pool balancer will calculate your expected return

• Simple will return equivalent value of your pool in BDP whereas Advanced will return the BDP + Datatoken equivalent of your pool share
• Select Approve & Remove, then complete in your wallet by confirming gas & the transaction
• You can also Review Your Pool Transaction history

Consume Tokens

• If you have at least 1.0 datatoken in your wallet, you will be able to Use it to buy access to dataset right away.
• Your spent token goes directly to the dataset’s publisher. Datasets can allow varying periods of access for a single token expenditure.

• If you do not have at least 1.0 datatoken in your wallet, you can consume a dataset by spending the BDP equivalent of 1 datatoken.

• Click Download, then complete in your wallet by confirming gas & the transaction

• Sign the transaction. Once complete the file will automatically download.

• You will be able to download the file without paying for again for the period of purchase
