May is National Mental Health Awareness Month, and I’m proud to live in a world reminding us all about something so crucial, and calling us together to help ourselves and others in our mental storms and tempests.

By and large, facing difficulties is what it means to live. I’m including an article below from Licensed Clinical Social Worker Meghan Breen, describing someone being triumphant after getting through a hardship. That then leads to an odd celebration over the original bad or “trigger” thing happening.

When it comes to physical fitness, everyone understands that pain equals gain; to really be fit, we know we must regularly experience the burn. From Meghan’s counsel, this rings true to me: By having knowledge and the ability to cope skillfully, we can minimize or avoid unnecessary struggles. With that lovely goal in mind, here are some virtual steroids for strengthening our minds.
